OPENINGS: Classroom Assistant, part time
GaitWay uses a methodology called Conductive Education whichis an intensive training for children, ages 2-22 and adults with motor disabilities. In a classroom setting, in small groups, individuals practice movement, sitting, standing, stretching, using their arms and hands and other activities that can increase their independence.
Job Description: Assisting children and adults with disabilities in the classroom under the direct supervision of a Teacher-Conductor. The position requires some lifting. On-the-job training is provided.
Hours: morning and/or afternoon classes are scheduled throughout the year
Summer Camp: Monday – Friday from 9 am - 5 pm
Rate: $9.00 per hour
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old.
Applicants must complete CPR and First Aid Training and a Fingerprint Clearance Card before the start of the employment.
